ORiS raised €5 million pre-seed for wireless power, LegendSpace is working on AI-driven propulsion and deltaVision is moving toward mass-producing serviceable spacecraft components. Government money followed the same trend, with a new UK-Florida fund to speed up demonstrations and Vast expanding its defense programs. SpaceX’s 13th Starship flight kept the heavy-lift story alive, though execution risk and long timelines still cap near-term returns.
Space stocks weren’t immune to the broader pullback though. Oil jumped on escalating Middle East conflict and big tech earnings spooked investors over AI spending, and that risk-off mood dragged down growth and infrastructure names across the board, space included.“ - Commentary by Matej Pretković
